- Open the drivers door.
- Push the drivers power door lock switch to the unlock position and hold it.
( Continue to hold the switch during this procedure.) - Insert the key into the ignition, then remove it. Repeat this 4 more times
within 10 seconds. ( You must complete steps 3 and 4 within 10 seconds
or the system will exit the programming mode. - Insert the key into the ignition. After you insert the key, make sure the power
door locks cycle to confirm that the system is in the programming mode. - Press the LOCK and UNLOCK button on the remote. All power door locks
( except the drivers door ) should cycle to confirm that the system accepted
the remote. - To program a second remote, press the LOCK and UNLOCK button within
10 seconds of programming the first remote. ( The system will only accept

- OPEN Driver’s door.
- PRESS and HOLD the UNLOCK switch on the Driver’s door and continue to HOLD until instructed to release.
- Within 10 seconds, INSERT the key into the ignition and REMOVE it five (5) times.
- INSERT the key a sixth (6) time and leave it in the Ignition. The vehicle will respond by cycling the locks indicating entry into Programming Mode.
- PRESS the LOCK OR UNLOCK Button on the remote. The vehicle will respond by cycling the locks indicating successful programming of the remote.
- REPEAT Step 5 within 10 seconds for each additional remote to be programmed.
- RELEASE the UNLOCK Button on the Driver’s door to exit Programming Mode.
- Test all remotes. Programming is now complete.

- Turn ignition switch to ON (II)
- Within 4 seconds press the LOCK or UNLOCK button on one of the remotes.

- ENTER the vehicle and CLOSE all doors. (Each of the following steps must be completed within five seconds of one another. If you take longer than five seconds between steps or make a mistake, you must start the entire procedure over.)
- INSERT the key into the Ignition, HOLD one remote in your left hand with additional remotes close by.
- PERFORM each of the next three (3) steps in order, then repeat all three (3) steps two (2) more times for a total of three (3) times each.
- TURN the Ignition to the ON position, marked “II” on the Ignition.
- PRESS the LOCK button on the remote for approximately 1 second. (Say “Mississippi”)
- TURN the Ignition to the OFF position, marked “I” on the Ignition. (REPEAT Steps 4-6 three (3) times)
- TURN the Ignition switch to the ON position, marked “II” on the Ignition.

- TURN Ignition to the ON (II) position. (ON is the position just shy of starting the vehicle without cranking the engine.)
- PRESS and HOLD the Valet/Disarm Button located between the AM/FM and CD/TAPE Buttons. The vehicle will respond by cycling the door locks, indicating the vehicle is now in Programming Mode. (Continue to hold the Valet/Disarm Button until instructed to release.)
- Within five (5) seconds, PRESS the LOCK or UNLOCK Button on the remote. The vehicle will respond by cycling the door locks, indicating successful programming of that remote.
- Within ten (10) seconds, REPEAT Step 3 to program any additional remotes.
- RELEASE the Valet/Disarm Button to EXIT Programming Mode.

Step-By-Step instructions to program 2009-2011 Honda Odyssey key fob (Method 1):
Have all remotes for the vehicle on hand. Make sure all the doors and rear
hatch/trunk are closed during programming.
Only need to use 1 remote to get into program mode but all remotes must
be programmed during the same session. Each step must be completed
within 5 seconds.
- Sit in the car with all doors/trunk tightly closed
- Turn the key to the ON position, marked by “II” on the ignition bezel
so the dash lights come on, then within 5 seconds press the
“Lock” button on the remote for 1 second or so and release the
button. - Turn the key to the OFF position, marked by “I” on the ignition
bezel – dash lights go off. - Repeat steps 2 & 3 three more times (A total of 4 times) each step
must be done within 5 seconds of the previous step. - Upon the 4th turning of the key to “ON”, press the lock button on
one remote, the locks will make a cycling sound (clunk), locks will
NOT lock or unlock at this point, they will just make a noise. The
system is now in programming mode. Do not turn key off. - Within 5 seconds of entering programming mode and within 5
seconds of each other, press the lock button ON EACH remote
you are programming, for a second or so and release. This step
needs to be completed within 10 seconds. Each time a remote
button is pushed, the locks should cycle. Up to 3 remotes can be
programmed. - Turn ignition completely off and remove the key. Step out of car
and close door. The remotes should be programmed and should
work. If you have a trunk/hatch release, the button for this feature
needs to be held for a few seconds before the trunk/hatch will
“pop”.
